Collage with Picasa

Burlington Vermont July 3, 2008

To make a collage fast and easy - put your photos in a file somewhere on your computer and then open Picasa. On the right hand side locate the file name and click on it which highlights the name and the photos that are in there. On the bottom toolbar click "collage" and you have many presentation options. After you find one you like simply "create" it and save it where you wish!

I'm excited abouy this one. I've been hunting around for textures that will play off each other. I love your fireworks. When I have taken pictures in the past they always have come out a wee bit shaky. Anyways nice collage

Thanks Travis. I must have shot oh maybe 50-60 the night I took these. Fireworks are hard. My niece had a point and shoot with a "fireworks" setting and she got a LOT of great shots...

These shots look great. I'm assuming they're taken with a quick shutter and wide aperture, since there doesn't appear to be much blur. It's funny, I'm not a big fan of fireworks and only now realized I can't recall ever having taken a picture of a display. Maybe that's a challenge I should accept in the future. What kind of zoom were these taken with?

Karen your fire works are great!! I have always tried to get firework shots and they never come out...even with steady shot on. Did you use a tripod?? The last time I tried to get photos of fireworks I was on a boat so there was probably not a chance even if I had a tripod. :)

P.S I just commented to my post comments on blackboard...I see how you and Racheal reply so I guess I will do the same from now on. :)

I took these photos with my point and shoot Canon A70. My sister works for a law firm in Burlington right on Battery street so these were NOT taken wiht a tripod or zoom. I was on the top floor and there was a wall just at shoulder level for me to rest my arm and the camera on. I shot early and hoped for the best using no flash (duh) and must have taken hundred of shots...
