Oh how I wish the glasses were completely in focus instead of the shadow. How'd I manage that? Oh well the colors the day I took this were amazing (10/10/08) and won't come along anytime soon. Also since November is usually a tough month to get shots I put together a Boston Harbor sunset from early August and a houseplant leaf before Jack Frost hits bigtime.

Wow! My fave is of the glasses, I especially like the capture of the reflection and the vague swafts of color through it.
Oh, my gawd, it took me about 3 glances to finally see the skyline of Boston through the slit of the leaf. Wicked! At first glance I thought quickly you used one the artistic filters, because it appeared as brush strokes, but as my eyes focused on it more I realized it was a leaf. Again my eyes went back to this photo thinking there was more to it than I was seeing, and then viola there it was the skyline.
I really like the photo of the eye glasses. Nice!
Agreed - it took me a couple of looks to get the details of your second photo, but once I did ... wow it is such a beautiful composition!
and I really like the effect of the shadow of the glasses.
