Perspective II

Perspective is all about Point of View. It's a way to "know" something better or to judge it. What is the relationship that is has to something else? Well here I am thinking about the perspective of time. There is almost a quarter of a century between the guy at the top and the guy below marrying the beautiful princess. There was not even digital photography when he was born, these photos had to be scanned to become digitized. Photoshop is a wonderful tool for making collages like this...

Karen,

Nice photos of your son. Congratulations! I love shooting weddings, even though there is a lot of work and many hours that go into the job before, during and after the wedding. I definitely earn my pay.
I just wanted to point out that digital cameras were actually around 25 years ago. Here is the link: http://www.digitaljournalist.org/issue0602/dunleavy.html
I had actually found this out back when I started photographing for a living, 7 years ago. I had actually been researching getting my own printing equipment and had run across Jon Cone who is a pioneer in digitizing artwork, and much, much more. The original information I found for him on the web I was not able to find, but he had also worked with digital cameras back in the early '80's and had said they cost $25,000 and upwards. But I did find this link about him: http://www.inkjetmall.com/store/info/media/mpn.html

Both of these links provide some very interesting information about the digital revolution for artists and photographers.

I do know that digital cameras were invented in the 1980s but they were in the tens of thousands of dollars. Actually printers have been working with something similar to pixels for a long time...but when I said "not around" I meant the average Joe like you or I could not have afforded them...

The pistures of your sons were very creative. I think I wore that same wedding dress to my wedding last fall!!!! Except instead of blue mine was red for the fall (plus reds my favorite color). Wedding photography is a lot of work!
