I think over again my small adventures,
my fears;
Those small ones that seemed so big.
For all the vital things I had to get and reach.
And yet there is only one great thing.
The only thing.
To live to see that great day that dawns
and the light that fills the world.
Old Inuit song
Like the spider with its web, so every subject weaves relationships between itself and particular properties of objects; the many strands are then woven together and finally form the basis of the subject’s very existence.

Karen,
Nice photos of your son. Congratulations! I love shooting weddings, even though there is a lot of work and many hours that go into the job before, during and after the wedding. I definitely earn my pay.
I just wanted to point out that digital cameras were actually around 25 years ago. Here is the link: http://www.digitaljournalist.org/issue0602/dunleavy.html
I had actually found this out back when I started photographing for a living, 7 years ago. I had actually been researching getting my own printing equipment and had run across Jon Cone who is a pioneer in digitizing artwork, and much, much more. The original information I found for him on the web I was not able to find, but he had also worked with digital cameras back in the early '80's and had said they cost $25,000 and upwards. But I did find this link about him: http://www.inkjetmall.com/store/info/media/mpn.html
Both of these links provide some very interesting information about the digital revolution for artists and photographers.

Hi Karen, SUch a handsome SUN, and wow, princess is right, (love that dress!) Thanks for sharing that!
Lisa:
I do know that digital cameras were invented in the 1980s but they were in the tens of thousands of dollars. Actually printers have been working with something similar to pixels for a long time...but when I said "not around" I meant the average Joe like you or I could not have afforded them...
;o)
The pistures of your sons were very creative. I think I wore that same wedding dress to my wedding last fall!!!! Except instead of blue mine was red for the fall (plus reds my favorite color). Wedding photography is a lot of work!
